NURSE PRACTITIONER: Kristy Falk, APRN, NP-C Kriste Swoboda, APRN, NP-C | Dr. Corales attended Tulane University for his undergraduate degree and obtained his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He completed his surgical internship and neurosurgical residency training at the Medical College of Virginia in 1981. After a year practicing as a member of the academic staff at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr. Corales came to New Orleans to pursue his private neurosurgical practice. Since that time, he has enjoyed the privilege and distinction of being able to continue a neurosurgical community practice that was originally established in 1950 by his father. Since 1982, Dr. Corales and his wife, Patty, have become integral participants in the New Orleans community and culture while raising their three children. Dr. Corales’ special interests in neurosurgery include treatment of brain and spine tumors, complex spine surgery, pituitary surgery and disorders, and treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. He is board certified in practicing neurological surgery and enjoys active participation in his state and national professional societies. |
